- The Melodics iPhone app is just for drummers, for now! It offers the full learning experience you'd find on desktop, same real-time feedback, useful practice tools, and access to the complete catalog of lessons and songs. Plus, additional mobile-only features will be released regularly to help you practice and improve faster.

- At the moment, the iPhone app is focused solely on drums. This allows us to focus on delivering a top-quality experience for drummers on mobile, while we still release regular lessons & updates on desktop & iPad for keys & pads. Stay tuned for future updates!
- Yes! The app syncs your drums lesson progress across both iPhone and desktop. Whether you're practicing at home or on the move, your progress stays up to date.
- Currently, a few features from the desktop experience are still in development for iPhone, but the core learning features are there. Keep an eye out for updates as we continue to improve the app.
- The Melodics iPhone app syncs with any drum kit. It even works with your practice pad, or just a pair of sticks and tabletop! Check out our Drums Connection Guide linked above for detailed steps on connecting your drum kit to the app.
- The Melodics app will work with iPhones running iOS 16 or later, typically supported by iPhone 8 / iPhone X and all more recent editions.
- For acoustic kits & practice pads, the iPhone app listens and learns the sound of your kit, so no wires needed. We do recommend playing Melodics with wired headphones for the optimum experience. For electronic kits, depending on your specific instrument’s connectivity, you may require an adaptor to plug in to your iPhone. You may optionally wish to use an iPhone stand to mount to your instrument, but this is not required. Balancing on something (even on one of your drums!) can be just as effective.
- All drum kits work with the Melodics iPhone app. If you’re having trouble connecting your drums or if Melodics can’t detect them, check out our connection guide linked above.
- Yes, a subscription purchased via App Store gives you access to all Melodics apps using the same login and account details, and vice-versa. You can download Melodics on desktop/laptop and iPad and use one subscription for all three.
- Yes! All current Melodics subscribers have free access to, and usage of the iPhone app at no extra cost. Simply download the iPhone app from the App Store first, then login with the same credentials that you use to access your existing Melodics account for the desktop version.
